Basically, all soaps are made by boiling fats or oils with suitable hydroxide Variations are made by adding different raw materials. Sodium laurysulphate and sodium dodecylbenzensulphonate are anionic detergents.
A gum rosin added to soap to make it lather well, Bithional is added to soaps to impart antiseptic properties to soap.
