Correct Answer - D
The main orgainc product is 2-methylbutan-2-ol. In the presence of polar solvent (water) the reaction proceed through `S_(N^(1))` mechanism. The intermediate `1^(@)` carbocation formed rearranges to give more stable `3^(@)` carbocation.
