Best answer
Calculation of rate constant for the reaction.
For a first order reaction, , `k=2.303/t loga/(a-x)`
a=100, (a-x) = 100-25 =75, t=10mm
`k=2.303/(10 min)log 100/75 = (2.303 xx 0.125)/(10 min)= 0.02879 min^(-1)`
Step II) Calculation of half life period for the reaction.
`t_(1//2) = 0.693/k = 0.693/(0.02879 min^(-1))` = 24.07 minutes.
