Rate equations for the first order reaction is: `k=(2.303)/t log a/(a-x)`
Here a is the intial concentration of reactants and (a-x) is concentration after time t. Since the units of a and (a-x) are to cancel out, therefore, units of rate constant (k) donot upon the concentration of the reactants.
