Correct option is (B) ± 5

Given \((x+4)\) \((x-4)\) = 9

\(\Rightarrow x^2-16=9\)

\(\Rightarrow x^2=9+16=25\)

\(\Rightarrow x^2=5^2\)

\(\Rightarrow x=\pm5\)
