Best answer

Correct option is (A) 1/3

Given quadratic equation is \(kx^2+2x+3=0\)

For equal roots, we have

\(2^2-4\times k\times 3=0\)

\(\Rightarrow\) 4 - 12k = 0

\(\Rightarrow\) 12k = 4

\(\Rightarrow k=\frac4{12}=\frac13\)
