Correct Answer - A
(a) In the acidic medium, only the cations of group (II) is mixture analysis i.e. `Cu^(2+)(aq)" and "Hg^(2+)(aq)` ions are precipitated as their respective sulphides. These are CuS and HgS (both black in colour).
