The follwing diagram indicates the energy levels of a certain atom when the system moves from `2E` level to `E`, a photon of wavelength `lambda` is emitted. The wavelength of photon produced during its transition from `(4E)/(3)` level to `E` is

Best answer
Correct Answer - A
When transition takes placce from higher energy level to lower energy , the level , the energy difference
`DeltaE=hv=(hc)/(lambda)`
`:. lambda=( hc)/(DeltaE)So, (lambda_(2))/(lambda_(1))=(DeltaE_(1))/(DeltaE_(2))`
When `DeltaE_(1)=2E-E=E,lambda_(1)=lambda`
and for `DeltaE_(2)=(4)/(3)E-E=(E)/(3)`
`(lambda_(2))/(lambda)=(E//E)/(3)=3rArrlambda_(2)=3lambda`
