(b) (i) Synergids : Synergids have special cellular thickenings at the micropylar tip called filiform apparatus which plays an important role in guiding the pollen tube into the synergid.
(b) Micropyle : It helps pollen tube to enter the ovule and then enters one of the synergids through the filiform apparatus.
