Amylose is a linear polymer of α-D-glucose held by C1-C4 Glycosidic linkage whereas amylopectin is branched chain polymer of α-D glucose units in which chain is held by C1-C4 glycosidic linkage while branching occurs by C1-C6 glycosidic Linkage.
