Correct answer is (b) False

The best I can explain: The chills are coated with a rubber compound and in some special cases are sprayed with fine silica sand. These chills are basically used to promote solidification in a particular portion of the casting system, while for supporting the cores, the chaplets are used which placed in the mould space.
