Consider the following statements regarding the Read Only Memory (ROM):

1. The stored data is lost if the power is removed.

2. It consists of an address decoder with a input lines and a programmable OR array with n output lines.

3. The minterms are ORed through the programmable switches which can be made ON or OFF to select a particular minterm. The programmable switches can be implemented by either bipolar, CMOS, nMOS or pMOS technologies.

4. Mask-programmed ROMs are used in the application where the system requires data to be stored and to be changed during the operation.

Correct Answer - Option 3 : 1, 2 and 4 only

Note: It is asked in the question that which statements are NOT correct.

Analysing each statement:

Statement 1: It is wrong because ROM is a permanent memory and it doesn't lose data when power is OFF.

Statement 2: It is wrong, because ROM consist of decoders of K input lines with n output lines.

Statement 3: It is correct.

Statement 4: It is wrong because in marked program ROM data is stored at manufacturing end according to user's demand of cannot be changed during the operation.
