Correct Answer - Option 1 : Provide opportunities for positive transfer of learning

Positive transfer is the improvement of current knowledge through the gain of additional information or education. It is essentially using the building blocks of previous to knowledge to learn more, by learning something similar but different you can strengthen your previous skills as well. If students’ learning is to be applied wherever required, the teacher should provide opportunities for positive transfer of learning.

  • When learning in one situation facilitates learning in another situation, it is known as a positive transfer.
  • For example, skills in playing the violin facilitate learning to play the piano.
  • Once a student has a basic knowledge of a subject it is not difficult to add more knowledge of that subject and he/she can easily apply them in real-life situations.

  • A teaching aid is anything used by a teacher to help teach a lesson or make it more interesting to students. Some of the most common are pictures, videos, charts, flashcards, and objects, like three-dimensional models or educational toys.
  • Memorization is the process of committing something to memory. It is a mental process undertaken in order to store in memory for later recall visual, auditory, or tactical information.
