Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 2 : 403.125

Calculation:

Quantity of sugar purchased at Rs 300 per kg = 75 kg

Total amount of money spent to buy this quality of sugar

⇒ 75 × 300

⇒ 22,500

Quantity of sugar purchased at Rs 360 per kg = 45 kg

Total amount of money spent to buy this quality of sugar

⇒ 45 × 360

⇒ 16,200

Total money spent = 22,500 + 16,200

⇒ Rs. 38,700

Now, to obtain 25% profit on the deal he needs to earn 25% of 38700

SP of 120 kg sugar,

⇒ 38,700 + 25% of 38,700

= 38,700 + (25/100) × 38,700

= 38,700 + 9,675

= 48,375

We have SP of 120 kg sugar

⇒ Rs. 48,375

SP of 1 kg sugar

⇒ Rs 48,375/120

= Rs. 403.125

∴ SP of 1kg sugar is Rs. 403.125
