The correct answer is Tamil Nadu.

  • The Right to Information Act was enacted by the Parliament of India on 15 June 2005.
  • The act came into force on 12 October 2005.
  • The act replaced the " Freedom of Information act, 2002".
  • Under this act, any citizen of India may request information from a public authority.
  • The public official has to reply within 30 days.

     Note -   1) Tamil Nadu is the first Indian state to introduce a law on RTI.

                  2) The state enacted the law in 1997.

                  3) The state was formed on 26th January 1950 and it's capital is Chennai.
