Correct Answer - Option 2 :

Both statement (I) and Statement (II) are individually true, but Statement (II) is not the correct explanation of Statement (I)

Statement 1:

Legal standards are standards that are set forth in governmental laws. Ethical standards, on the other hand, do not necessarily have a legal basis. They are based on human principles of right and wrong.

Therefore, what is legal may not always be ethical and vice versa.

Statement 2:

Ethical standards and the law share the same theme i.e. what is permissible and impermissible. But both have different principles to follow.

Therefore, both statement (I) and Statement (II) are individually true, but Statement (II) is not the correct explanation of Statement (I).
