Correct Answer - Option 3 : Statement (I) is true but Statement (II) is false

Explanation:

A cooling tower is an example of an open cooling system and due to direct contact, water can dissolve impurities from the air.

Hence statement I is correct.

Closed-circuit cooling towers completely isolate the process cooling fluid from the atmosphere, the water is not able to be aerated and there is a limit to oxygen in it also.
