Biopiracy – The use of bio-resources without proper authorization from the countries and people concerned without paying any compensation is called biopiracy.
Some of the countries are developing laws to prevent such unauthorized exploitation of the bio-resources and traditional knowledge. All these aspects indicate that biotechnology is focussed on exploiting the biological world.
