Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : 1.8 mm

Concept:

The height of Watt governor is

\(H = \frac{{895000}}{{{N^2}}}mm\)

Where, N = speed of governor in RPM.

Calculation:

At, N = 100 rpm

\({H_1} = \frac{{895000}}{{{{100}^2}}} = 89.5\;mm\)

At, N = 101 rpm

\({H_2} = \frac{{895000}}{{{{101}^2}}} = 87.74\;mm\)

∴ Change in height (∆H) is

∆H = H1 − H2

∴ ∆H = 89.5 – 87.74

∴ ∆H = 1.76 mm
