ASCII Code:

  • ASCII stands for American standard code for information interchange.
  • Represents 128 English characters as numbers, each character assigned a number from 0 to 127.
  • It is a 7-bit code (∵ 27 = 128)

EBCDIC:

  • Extended Binary coded Decimal interchange code.
  • 8-bit character encoding used for IBM.

From the above two, b → (i), c → (iv).

Baudot Code:

  • Binary code which uses crosses and dots.
  • Used for teleprinter message and allowed to encode 25 = 32 characters.
  • It is a 5-bit code.

Code 39:

  • Code 39 defines 43 characters
It uses 10 digits
