Since both are moving in same direction,

relative speed = | 50 - 60 | = 10 km/h

distance = 20 km, time = ?

\(speed = \frac{{distance}}{{time}}\)

\(10 = \frac{{20}}{{time}}\)

∴ time = 2 h

The number of hours it takes for the distance between the two cars to be 20 km is 2 hours.
