Correct Answer - Option 4 : 48.3

Given:

One kg of rice flour costing Rs. 34 per kg is mixed with 4 kgs of wheat flour costing Rs. 44 per kg.

Formula:

Ratio = (Dearer price - mean)/(mean – cheaper price)

Calculation:

Selling price = 1.15 Cost price

By applying allegation,

34                   44
            CP
1                      4

⇒ (44 - CP)/(CP - 34) = 1/4

⇒ 176 - 4CP = CP - 34

⇒ 5 CP = 210

⇒ CP = 42

⇒ SP = 42 (1.15) = 48.3
