Correct Answer - Option 2 : 118.75 kg

Given:

The weight of 1 cm3 of ice = 950 grams

Length of the cubical block of ice = 50 mm

Formula Used:

The volume of the cube = (Side)3

1 mm = (1/10) cm

Calculation:

Length of the cubical block of ice = 50 mm

⇒ (50/10) cm

⇒ 5 cm

The volume of the cubical block of ice = (Length)3

⇒ 53

⇒ 125 cm3

According to the question,

Weight of the cubical block of ice 5 cm in length = (125 × 950) grams

⇒ {(125 × 950)/1000} kg

⇒ (475/4) kg

⇒ 118.75 kg

∴ The weight of the cubical block of ice 50 mm in length will be 118.75 kg.
