Correct Answer - Option 3 : 20 m

Given:

Area = 50 m2

Formula used:

Area of the triangle = 1/2 × base × height

Calculation:

Let the length of the height of the triangle be x cm

Its base = 4x cm

Area of the triangle = 1/2 × base × height

⇒ 1/2 × 4x × x = 50

⇒ 4x2 = 50 × 2

⇒ 4x2 = 100

⇒ x2 = 25

⇒ x = 5 m

The length of the base = 4 × 5 m

⇒ 20 m

∴ The length of the base is 20 m
