Correct Answer - Option 1 : 36 cm2

Given:

Diagonal = 6√2 cm

Formula used:

Diagonal of a square = a√2

Area of the square = (side)2

Calculation:

According to the question:

Diagonal of a square = a√2

⇒ a√2 = 6√2

⇒ a = 6 cm

Now,

Area of the square = (side)2

⇒ (6)2 = 36 cm2

∴ The area of the square is 36 cm2.
