Calculation

Percentage of Money left with Karan =  (100 - 40)%

⇒ 60%

60% of x = 540

⇒ x = (540 × 100)/60

⇒ x = 900

Money give to his sister = 900 - 540

⇒ 360

∴ Money given by a Karan to his sister is Rs. 360
