Given:

The side of each tile = 4 m

Formula used:

The area of the square = Side²

The perimeter of the square = 4 × side

Calculation:

Area of square shaped tile = 4 × 4 = 16 m²

No. of tiles used = 100

⇒  Area of floor = 100 × 16 = 1600 m²

Let side of floor be x m

⇒  x² = 1600

⇒  x = 40

Perimeter of floor = 4 × 40 =  160 m

∴ The perimeter of the floor is 160 m
