Correct Answer - Option 4 : 18

Given:

Ratio of coins is 3 : 2 : 1,

Denomination of Rs. 5, Rs. 2, and Rs. 1 respectively.

Total amount is Rs. 120

Concept Used:

Rs. 1 = 100 paisa

Calcualtion:

Let the number of coins be 3x, 2x, and 1x.

Rs. 5 = 500 paisa, Rs. 2 = 200 paisa, Rs. 1 = 100 paisa, Rs. 120 = 12,000 paisa

Now according to the question,

⇒ 500(3x) + 200(2x) + 100(x) = 12,000

⇒ 1,500x + 400x + 100x = 12,000

⇒ 2,000x = 12,000

⇒ x = 12,000/2,000

⇒ x = 6

Rs. 5 coins are = 3x = 3 × 6 = 18

∴ Rs. 5 coins are 18.
