Correct Answer - Option 1 : 0

Given

(2a + 3b)2 - (3a + 2b)2

Formula/ concept used

(a + b)2 = a2 + b2 + 2ab

(a - b)2 = a2 + b2 - 2ab

Calculation

Expanding, (2a + 3b)2 - (3a + 2b)2

⇒ (2a + 3b)2 - (3a + 2b)2 = 4a2 + 9b2 + 12ab - 9a2 - 4b2 - 12ab

= -5a2 + 5b2

Now in the following expansion coefficient of a2 and b2 are -5 and 5 respectively.

⇒ sum of the coefficients = -5 + 5 =0.

∴ The sum of coefficients is 0
