The correct answer is:(1), (B) - (2), (C) - (3), (D) - (4).

  • Megatherm:
    • The plants live in high temperature throughout the year are called megatherms. These plants are found in equatorial and tropical rain- forests.
    • Tundra region: The tundra is the coldest of the biomes. It also receives low amounts of precipitation, making the tundra similar to a desert.
      • Tundra is found in the regions just below the ice caps of the Arctic, extending across North America, Europe, and Siberia in Asia. Much of Alaska and about half of Canada are in the tundra biome.
      • Tundra is also found at the tops of very high mountains elsewhere in the world. Temperatures are frequently extremely cold but can get warm in the summers.
      • Precipitation in the tundra totals 150 to 250 mm a year, including melted snow. That's less than most of the world's greatest desserts!
      • Still, the tundra is usually a wet place because the low temperatures cause the evaporation of water to be slow. Much of the arctic has rain and fog in the summers, and water gathers in bogs and ponds.
  • Mesotherm:
    • The plants living at the high temperature of summer, alternating with the low temperature of winter are called mesotherms. They found in the deciduous forest of tropical and subtropical regions.
      • Equatorial region: The equatorial, hot, wet climate is found between 5° and 10° north and south of the equator.
      • Its greatest extent is found in the lowlands of the Amazon, the Congo, Malaysia, and the East Indies. Further away from the equator,
  • Microtherm:
    • The plants which live in extremely low temperature are called micro terms. It includes plants of temperature and high altitude(up to 1200 feet of the tropical and subtropical region). This region is dominated by mixed coniferous forests.
      • Tropical region: The tropics are regions of the Earth that lie roughly in the middle of the Globe.
      • The tropics between the latitude lines of the Tropic of cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.
      • The tropics include the Equator and parts of North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia.
      • The tropics account for 36 percent of the Earth's landmass and are home to about a third of the world's people.
  • Hekistherm: It includes plants of artic and Alpine above( 1600 teats in tropics and 12000 feet in temperature). Alpine vegetation prevails in such locality.
    • Temperate region: Temperature is one of the most important ecological factors. It regulates many physiological processes of the plant. The metabolic processes are low at a certain minimum temperature.
    • It increases at a particular temperature called optimum temperature. The plant grows best at optimum temperature. Metabolism again decreases at maximum temperature. The plants cannot survive above this temperature. Both extremely low and high temperatures have an adverse effect on plant growth
