Raymond - Gunfoundry

  • The Gunfoundry also known as Top ka Sancha (1786 AD) was a cannonball factory set up by the second Nizam of HyderabadNawab Mir Nizam Ali Khan at Fateh Maidan in Hyderabad, India. The historic Aliya High School for Boys
  • The Gunfoundry was one of the several cannon and cannonball factories set up in 1786 AD by French general Michel Raymond who was in the service of Nawab Mir Nizam Ali Khan, the second Nizam of the Hyderabad.
  • This is the only surviving gun foundry established in the 18th century, in the Hyderabad State.

Salarjung I - Hali-Sikka Currency

  • Sir Mir Turab Ali Khan (21 January 1829 – 8 February 1883), known simply as Salar Jung I, was an Indian nobleman who served as Prime Minister of Hyderabad State between 1853 until his death in 1883.
  • He also served as regent for the sixth NizamAsaf Jah VI between 1869 and 1883.
  • His tenure is known for administrative reforms, which included a reorganization of the revenue and judicial systems, the division of Hyderabad State into districts, the institution of a postal service, the establishment of the first modern educational institutions, and the construction of the first rail and telegraph networks.
  • The important reform introduced by Salar Jung was the stabilization of currency.
  • A central mint was established at Hyderabad and the district mints were abolished.
  • He issued Hali Sikka rupees and this became the standard currency for all monetary transactions

Mir Mahaboob Ali Khan - Qunooncha-i-Mubarak

  • Sir Mir Mahboob Ali Khan Siddiqi Bayafandi Asaf Jah VI (18 August 1866 – 29 August 1911) was the 6th Nizam of Hyderabad.
  • He ruled Hyderabad state, one of the Princely states in India between 1869 and 1911.
  • Mahboob Ali Khan was known for his life of extravagance.
  • With real power clipped by the British, he used court protocol to offer a luxurious form of resistance.

Mir Osman Ali Khan - Kachiguda Railway Station

  • Mir Osman Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VII  (6 April 1886 – 24 February 1967), was the last Nizam ruler of the Princely State of Hyderabad, the largest princely state in British India.
  • He was styled as His Exalted Highness the Nizam of Hyderabad and was one of the wealthiest individuals of all time.
  • On February 22, 1937, Time featured him on its cover as the world's richest person.
  • He was known as the "Architect of modern Hyderabad" and is credited with establishing many public institutions in the city of Hyderabad, including among others: Osmania UniversityOsmania General HospitalState Bank of HyderabadBegumpet Airport, and the Hyderabad High Court.
  • Two reservoirs, Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar were built during his reign, to prevent another great flood in the city.
  • The Kacheguda railway station was built in 1916 during the reign of the last Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan.
  • Kacheguda railway station in Hyderabad has become India's first Energy-Efficient A1 Category Railway Station.
  • It is operated by the South Central Railway (SCR) zone of Indian Railways.
