Total distance cover \(\Rightarrow \,3 \times 16 + 5 \times 8 = 88km\)

Total time taken in whole journey \(\Rightarrow \)3 + 5 = 8hr

Average speed \(\Rightarrow \,\frac{{{\text{Total}}\,{\text{distance}}}}{{{\text{Total}}\,{\text{time}}\,{\text{taken}}}}\)

\(\Rightarrow \,\frac{{88}}{8} = 11km/hr.\)
