Correct Answer - Option 1 : 17 years

GIVEN:
Manoj's age = Anuj's age + 2

(Manoj + Anuj)'s age = Geeta's age + 2

Manoj : Geeta (6 years hence) = 5 : 8

EXPLANATION:

Let Manoj's age be x

∴ Anuj's age = x - 2

Geeta's age = x + x - 2 - 2 = 2x -4

(x +6)/(2x - 4 + 6) = 5/8

⇒ 8x + 48 = 10x + 10

⇒ 2x = 38

⇒ x = 19 years

∴ Anuj's age = 19 - 2 = 17 years

∴ Anuj is 17 years old.
