Correct Answer - Option 1 : 13200

Given:

Mohan decided to donate 18% of his monthly income to an orphanage on the day of donation, he changes his mind and donated a sum of Rs.5400 which was equal to 75% of what he had decided earlier.

Concept used:

Percentage

Calculation:

Let monthly income of Mohan be Rs.x

Donation to the orphanage = \(\frac{{18x}}{{100}}\)

As per the question,

⇒ \(\frac{{18x}}{{100}} \times 75\% = 5400\)

⇒ \(\frac{{18x}}{{100}} \times \frac{3}{4} = 5400\)

⇒ x = 40000

33% of his monthly income = 33% of 40000

⇒ \(\frac{{33}}{{100}} \times 40000 = Rs.13200\)
