Correct Answer - Option 2 : INR 110

Given:

A and B invest in a business in the ratio 1 : 6.

23% of the total profit goes to charity.

Formula used:

Profit depends on Amount × time

Calculation:

Here, no variation in time ∴ profit depends on capital investment by each.

Total profit = 1000, If 23% of the total profit goes to charity

⇒ Remaining profit = 100% – 23%

= 77% of INR 1000

= INR 770

As remaining profit divided in ratio of capital investment ∴ let remaining profit = x + 6x = 7x =INR 770

⇒ 1x = INR 110

∴ Share of A in total profit = INR 110
