Correct Answer - Option 1 : 24

Given:

Total readers of two newspapers = 50

Number of readers of Dainik Jagran newspaper = 10

Number of readers of Hindustan newspaper = 20

Number of readers of both newspapers = 4

Concepts used:

Total readers of two newspapers = Number of readers of Dainik Jagran newspaper + Number of readers of Hindustan newspaper - Number of readers of both newspapers + Number of readers read none of these two newspaper

Calculation:

Number of readers reading no newspaper = Total readers - Number of readers of Dainik Jagran newspaper - Number of readers of Hindustan newspaper + Number of readers read none of these two newspaper

⇒ Number of readers read neither of these two newspaper = 50 – 10 – 20 + 4 = 24

∴ 24 readers read neither of the two newspapers.
