Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 2 : 24.24%

Given:

The marked price of a shirt was Rs. 1,800. A man bought the same shirt for Rs. 1,200 after getting two successive discounts

First discount is 12%.

Concept used:

MP[(100 - x)/(100)][(100 - y)/(100)] = SP

Discount = x% and y%

SP = Selling Price

MP = Marked Price

Calculations:

Let the 2nd discount be x%

According to the question

1800(100 - 12)/(100)] [(100 - x)/100)] = 1200

100 - x = 75.8

⇒ x = 24.2

∴ Option 2 will be the correct answer.
