Correct Answer - Option 2 : 77%

Given:

Total students in college = 500

Ratio b/w the number os boys and girls students in college = 7 : 3

Scholarship holders in boys = 30%

Scholarship holder in girls = 20%

Concept:

% of students who are not scholarship holder = (Total number of students ─ total number of students who are scholarship holder)/total number of students

Calculation:

Number of boys students in college = 500 × (7/10) = 350

Number of girls students in college = 500 × (3/10) = 150

Number of boys students who are not scholarship holder in college out of total boys students = 350 ─ (350 × (20/100)) = 350 ─ 70 = 280

Number of boys students who are not scholarship holder in college out of total boys students = 150 ─ (150 × (30/100)) = 150 ─ 45 = 105

Total number of students who are not scholarship holders = (280 + 105) = 385

Required percentage = (385/500) × 100%

⇒ 77%

∴ The required percentage is 77%
