Calculation∶

Let Chantu’s present age is ‘x’ years and he is ‘y’ years younger to Montu

Montu’s age = (x + y) years

Bantu’s age = (x – y) years

According to the question,

Sum of the ages of Montu and Bantu = 60

(x + y) + (x – y) = 60

⇒ 2x = 60

⇒ x = 30
