Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : ₹ 3,500

Given:

Sales in 4 days = ₹ 3,425, ₹ 3,810, ₹ 3,155 and ₹ 3,610

Formula used:

Average = Sum of values/Number of values

Calculation:

Let the sale for 5th day be x.

Average = (3425 + 3810 + 3155 + 3610 + x)/5

⇒ 3500 = (14000 + x)/5

⇒ 17500 - 14000 = x

⇒ x = 3,500

∴ He should have sale of  Rs. 3,500 in the 5th day so as to get an average sale of ₹ 3,500.
