Correct Answer - Option 2 : 16816

Given:

Bus passengers = 60% of the total population

Train passengers = 1200 more than 90% of the Bus passengers

Metro passengers = 30% of (Bus passengers + Train passengers)

Car passengers = 50% of (Bus passengers + Metro passengers)

And people choose bike is one third of the total people travelled by Train, Metro and Car

Calculation:

Bus passengers = 60% of 36000 = 21600

Train passengers = 1200 + 90% of  21600

⇒ 1200 + 19440 = 20640

Metro passengers = 30% of (21600 + 20640)

⇒ 30% of 42240 = 12672

Car passengers = 50% of (21600 + 12672)

⇒ 50% of 34272 = 17136

Now,

Number of people choose bike = (1/3) × (20640 + 12672 + 17136)

⇒ 50448/3 = 16816
