Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 3 : 9:1

Total number of families = 200

1. 70 have a car each but have no bike.

2. 50 families have a bike and a car each

3. 65 families have only a bike each.

The remaining families have neither a car nor a bike.

Number of families that have only one vehicle = Number of families that have a car each but have no bike + Number of families that have only a bike each

= 70 + 65

= 135

Number of families who do not have any vehicle = Total number of families - (Number of families that have a car each but have no bike + Number of families that have only a bike each + Number of families that have a bike and a car each)

= 200 - (70 + 65 + 50)

= 200 - 185

= 15

So, the ratio between the families that have only one vehicle to those who have do not have any vehicle = 135 : 15

= 9 : 1

Hence, ‘9 : 1’ is the correct answer.
