Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 3 : Rs. 252

Given:

He used to earn = Rs. 240

Formula Used:

Daily wages = hourly wages × work hours

Calculations:

Let the original hourly wages and working hours be x and y respectively.

⇒ x × y = 240

New hourly wages = 1.25x

New working hours = 0.84y

New daily wages = (1.25x) × (0.84y)

⇒ New daily wages = 1.05xy

⇒ New daily wages = 1.05 × 240 = Rs. 252

∴ The earning of carpenter is Rs. 252.
