Correct Answer - Option 4 : × and ÷

1) ÷ and –

Given expression: 86 + 5 - 42 ÷ 28 × 14 = 7

After replacing the symbols, we get:

L.H.S = 86 + 5 ÷ 42 - 28 × 14

= 86 + 0.12 - 392

= 86.12 - 392

=> -305.88 ≠ R.H.S

2) × and +

Given expression: 86 + 5 - 42 ÷ 28 × 14 = 7

After replacing the symbols, we get:

L.H.S = 86 × 5 - 42 ÷ 28 + 14

= 430 - 1.5 + 14

= 444 - 1.5

= 442.5 ≠ R.H.S

3) × and -

Given expression: 86 + 5 - 42 ÷ 28 × 14 = 7

After replacing the symbols, we get:

L.H.S = 86 + 5 × 42 ÷ 28 - 14

= 86 + 7.5 - 14

= 93.5 - 14

= 79.5 ≠ R.H.S

4) × and ÷

Given expression: 86 + 5 - 42 ÷ 28 × 14 = 7

After replacing the symbols, we get:

L.H.S = 86 + 5 - 42 × 28 ÷ 14

= 86 + 5 - 84

= 91 - 84

= 7 = R.H.S

Hence, '× and ÷ ' is the correct answer.
