  • Pranab Mukherjee served as 13th President of India from 25th July 2012 till 25th July 2017.
  • He was honoured with India's highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna in 2019 by incumbent President Ram Nath Kovind.
  • Mukherjee had served as the Defence Minister from 2004-2006, External Affairs from 2006-2009, and the Union Minister of Finance from 2009 to 2012 before he was elected President.
  • The Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao appointed Mukherjee as the head of the Planning Commission in 1991 and Foreign Minister in 1995.
  • Throughout his political career till his resignation in 2012, he held several key cabinet portfolios including as Finance Minister from 2009-2012.

  • She served as the 17th Governor of Rajasthan from 2004 to 2007 and 9th Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha from 1986 to 1988.

A P J Abdul Kalam

  • Abdul Kalam was an Indian Aerospace Scientist who served as 11th President of India from  25th July 2002 to  25th July 2007.
  • He is known as the "Missile Man of India".
  • He worked with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) as an aerospace engineer, before becoming the President of India.
  • His birth anniversary is observed as "World Student's Day" on 15th October.
  • He awarded Padma Bhushan(1981), Padma Vibhushan(1990) and Bharat Ratna (1997).
