Correct Answer - Option 2 : 168

Given:

Ratio of boys and girls = 8 : 11

Total number of students = 399

Calculation:

Let the number of boys and girls be 8x and 11x respectively

Total number of students = (8x + 11x)

⇒ 19x

Now, according to question

19x = 399

⇒ 8x = (399/19x) × 8x

⇒ 168

∴ The number of boys are 168
