Given:

The surface area of the sphere = 1386 cm2

Formula used:

Surface area of a sphere = 4πr2

Volume of a sphere = (4/3)πr3

Calculations:

Surface area of a sphere = 4πr2

⇒ 4πr= 1386

⇒ 4 × (22/7) × r2 = 1386

⇒ r = 21/2 cm

 

Volume of a sphere = (4/3)πr3

⇒ (4/3) × (22/7) × (21/2)3 

⇒ 4851 cm3

∴ The volume of the sphere is 4851 cm3.
