Correct Answer - Option 5 : Quantity 1 = Quantity 2

Given:

Speed of mohan = 20 km/hr initially

Speed of rohan = 60 km/hr

Formula used:

Distance = speed × time

Calculation:

The distance travelled by Mohan in first 3 hours = 3 × 20 = 60 km

⇒ the relative speed of X and Y = 60 – 20 = 40 km per hour

⇒ 60 = 40 × y

⇒ y = 1.5 hours

⇒ It means after 1.5 hours the Rohan meets Mohan.

Quantity I:

The total time taken by A to go and return immediately = 3 + 1.5 + 3 + 1.5

⇒ Total time taken = 9 hours

Quantity II: 9 hours

∴ Quantity I = Quantity II
