Correct Answer - Option 4 : B

The correct answer is Barometer.

  • The barometer is used to measure atmospheric pressure.
    • A barometer is a scientific instrument used to measure atmospheric pressure, also called barometric pressure.
    • A simple barometer consists of a long glass tube (closed at one end, open at the other) filled with mercury and turned upside down into a container of mercury.
    • The barometer works by balancing the mercury in the glass tube against the outside air pressure, just like a set of scales.
      Hence, option 4 is correct.

  • lactometer
    • An instrument used in measuring the volume of cream in a sample of milk, and the probable amount of water, if any, which has been added to it.
  • A Thermometer is a device that measures temperature or a temperature gradient (the degree of hotness or coldness of an object).
    • A thermometer has two important elements:
      • Temperature sensor
      • Some means of converting this change into a numerical value.
  • A Multimeter, also known as a VOM (volt-ohm-milliammeter), is an electronic measuring instrument that combines several measurement functions in one unit.
    • A typical multimeter can measure voltage, current, and resistance.
    • Analog multimeters use a microammeter with a moving pointer to display readings.
    • Digital multimeters (DMM, DVOM) have a numeric display, and may also show a graphical bar representing the measured value.
