Correct Answer - Option 2 : Current

CONCEPT:

Scalar Quantity Vector Quantity
The physical quantity in which the only magnitude is measured is called scalar quanity The physical quantity in which both magnitude and direction are considered is said to be vector quanitiy.
The scalar quantity follows normal algebraic methods for its algebraic operations like addition and subtraction are done normally like any number. The vector quantity follows vector algebra for its algebraic operations.
Mass, current, voltage, density are some examples of scalar quantity.  Force, velocity, momentum, displacement are some examples of vector quantity.
  • Electric charge: The electric charge is obtained by the transfer of electrons. It is a scalar quantity with unit coloumb.
  • Current: The rate of flow of electric charge is called current. It is having unit ampere.
  • The addition of current is done normally as a scalar quantity

EXPLANATION:

  • So, the current is a scalar quantity as it is normally added as scalar. Its direction is not considered in measurement as a vector quantity.
  • So, current is the correct answer.
